Henderson House

Cosmur were appointed to carry out conversion and roof extension works to Henderson House on St. Dunstans Road, in South Norwood. Originally built as a tile warehouse, the three storey building was in need of modernisation of its existing storage and distribution depot areas, mulltiple structures and gated vehicle / pededestrian access and entrance. In 2008 the upper floors had been converted to six residential flats with their own pedestrian access and entrance, front forecourt and a high white rendered boundary wall. What was an underused site has now been considerably enhanced to a contemporary simplified aesthetic in keeping with the local character. Cosmur’s 44 years of experience in refurbishing listed buildings resulted in securing the conversion and alteration of a Grade II deconsecrated 1820’s church building into a sports facility. Scope of works: Strip out of existing furnishings, fixtures and fittings, redundant services installations ad selected internal partitions wall. Founded in 1910, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni comprises of a multi-media library, the Ciné lumière, a language center and the French bistro, welcoming 200,000 people each year. The Institut Français du Royaume-Uni are part of the Institut Français worldwide network promoting French language and culture and encouraging cross-cultural exchange and cultural diversity. Cosmur Construction (London) Ltd were appointed as Principal Contractors to undertake the design development and construction delivery of the refurbishment of the Institut Francais Library and respective offices in South Kensington, London. Newly completed project: Holcombe Road

A popular Tottenham market, which has been trading in the area for nearly 100 years, has re-opened after a major refurbishment programme delivered by Cosmur Construction (London) Ltd. The project was part of the Public Realm improvement works which involved the replacement and upgrading of an established and popular street market, off of Tottenham High Road, providing the existing market stall traders with new kiosks, three additional market stalls and new paving. The programme of works was developed in close consultation with Haringey Council and Bruce Grove Stakeholder Group, which consisted of local residents and businesses, ensuring minimum disruption and business as usual for all market stall traders.
