A popular Tottenham market, which has been trading in the area for nearly 100 years, has re-opened after a major refurbishment programme delivered by Cosmur Construction (London) Ltd.

The project was part of the Public Realm improvement works which involved the replacement and upgrading of an established and popular street market, off of Tottenham High Road, providing the existing market stall traders with new kiosks, three additional market stalls and new paving.

The programme of works was developed in close consultation with Haringey Council and Bruce Grove Stakeholder Group, which consisted of local residents and businesses, ensuring minimum disruption and business as usual for all market stall traders.

Dave Hall who runs Hall’s Greengrocers with his brother Andy said:

“The new market looks amazing and we’ve had an overwhelming response from local residents. Hopefully this will be the start of the next successful chapter in our family-run business which has been trading in Tottenham for approaching a century.”

Scope of works:

  • Provision of temporary trading units and temporary services
  • Termination of services, soft strip and demolition of existing market units
  • Construction of new market kiosk units
  • Locating and diverting buried services
  • Installation of  new paving and lighting
