We recently completed the refurbishment to the Outset Centre at Forest Pathway College for the modernisation and upgrade of learning facilities for 64 young people aged 15 and 16, who were either new to the borough or required additional support. Located on Grange Road, the Centre had been part of a disused factory refurbished and extended in 2002. Our initial engagement ensured solutions were specific to the Centre’s development of its existing buildings and surroundings to provide significant benefits for the local community. The London Borough of Redbridge awarded Cosmur the Gordon Primary School community school expansion project to meet Ilford’s growing demand for primary school places. We delivered part refurbishment and extension works which increased capacity from 180 2FE infant school pupils to 240 2FE Primary School pupils, a total intake of 420 four-to-eleven-year-olds. The works were completed in two phases: Phase 1 involved enabling works, temporary accommodation, services, refurbishment of the school kitchen, external security works and new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) works. Cosmur designed and constructed a three-storey block of flats in Cave Road, Ham, a stone’s throw from the River Thames in one of the most attractive areas of south-west London. The project involved creating six affordable homes in what had been an underused garaging space. Cosmur has recently converted offices into residential accommodation in Holloway Road. This was one of our first projects under the Governments Permitted Development Scheme, involving the conversion of Commercial space into Residential living areas. The project involved the creation of 27 luxury and contemporary residential living spaces consisting of studio, one, two, and three bedroom apartments with ground floor retail units.
