Cosmur were appointed to carry out conversion and roof extension works to Henderson House on St. Dunstans Road, in South Norwood. Originally built as a tile warehouse, the three storey building was in need of modernisation of its existing storage and distribution depot areas, mulltiple structures and gated vehicle / pededestrian access and entrance. In 2008 the upper floors had been converted to six residential flats with their own pedestrian access and entrance, front forecourt and a high white rendered boundary wall. What was an underused site has now been considerably enhanced to a contemporary simplified aesthetic in keeping with the local character. Cosmur’s 44 years of experience in refurbishing listed buildings resulted in securing the conversion and alteration of a Grade II deconsecrated 1820’s church building into a sports facility.
