
SMART @ Islington
One of four fast-track, negotiated contracts for the multi-phased refurbishment of a number of offices at the Grade II listed Islington Town Hall.
This development is part of Islington’s ‘SMART’ programme, an innovative approach to the re-design and management of existing space. The project aims to maximise the use of areas within the building and upgrade all facilities (including IT, data cabling etc.) to create efficient working environments where people are happy to work.
This contract was for the complete strip-out, reconfiguration and refurbishment of the first and second floor offices at the Town Hall and included the installation of additional M&E services.
The building was occupied throughout the contract, necessitating the strictest environmental controls on our part in order to limit vibrations, dust, noise, and other emissions.
