Christchurch Hill
A contract for the conversion of a mid-terrace private house in Hampstead into a large family property comprising four bedrooms, study, three reception rooms, kitchen and a new utility area. The original scheme and specification evolved as the project progressed, with the client wishing to retain as many of the original internal and external architectural features of the property as possible. Consequently the work required many detailed high-specification finishes, subtly integrating state-of-the-art and modern fixtures and fittings whilst ‘building in’ existing shadow gaps, cornices, and original staircases.
The client wished to make maximum use of the area of the property, and during construction requested an additional space be built for a utility room. Our team worked closely with the architect to design an extra room which utilised part of the courtyard and lower ground floor area. The construction of the new utility area required extensive under-pinning, new tanking and drainage, demanding the full experience of our site team.
Our flexibile approach and the skills of our staff resulted in the project being completed to the complete satisfaction of the client.
