Willow Children's Centre

A contract for the extension and refurbishment of an existing school, the Willow Children’s Centre.

Prior to the main contract, redecoration works were carried out to the Conewood Street property where the children and staff would be relocated while the works to the existing centre were carried out.

At the Willow Centre the refurbishment works included remodelling the exiting facilities including new M&E services, decorations, a new canopy and installation of new ‘safe play’ surfaces outside the building.

The construction of the new extension was carried out concurrently, with innovative design and construction methods employed to align it with the existing building.

The centre has been nominated in the 2007 RIBA Awards and was opened by Cherie Booth QC in March 2007.
